Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you enquire about, book, or stay at Slowlife in Jari, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to them. Please also read our House Rules and Privacy Policy.

The stay

Slowlife is a whole-home retreat. When you book, the house is reserved for your group alone for the agreed dates. Guest numbers and any pets must match what we confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp).

Enquiries & booking

Sending the contact form or messaging us starts a conversation - it is not a confirmed booking. A stay is confirmed only when we agree dates, share a quote or booking note, and you complete any payment or deposit we request. We may decline or cancel a booking if details were inaccurate or if hosting would be unsafe or impractical.

Rates & payment

Prices are as quoted for your dates and party size. Taxes or local charges, if applicable, will be stated in the quote. Payment instructions will be shared when we confirm. Until payment terms are met, dates are not fully secured.

Cancellation

Unless we agree otherwise in writing:

• 31+ days before arrival - 25% of the total booking amount is retained
• 30–15 days before arrival - 50% is retained
• Within 14 days - the booking is non-refundable

Cancellation on arrival, no-show, early departure, or date changes may be treated under the same policy depending on the dates involved. Full detail is on our House Rules page.

House rules

Guests must follow the House Rules for quiet hours, kitchen use, smoking, pets, and care of the property and surroundings. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to early termination of the stay without refund.

Check-in & check-out

Arrival and departure times are agreed when we confirm your stay. We aim to stay flexible where we can; please share travel plans early so we can plan around them.

Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate guest and contact details
• Treat the home, belongings, and land with care
• Supervise children and pets appropriately
• Report damage or issues promptly

You may be charged for loss or damage beyond normal wear and tear, or for extraordinary cleaning required after your stay.

Nature, travel & risk

Slowlife sits in a mountain setting. Weather, road conditions, power, and network coverage can change. Outdoor spaces and local travel carry inherent risks. Guests stay and explore at their own risk and should take sensible care. We are not responsible for delays or disruption caused by weather, landslides, strikes, or other events outside our reasonable control.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slowlife and its hosts are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of personal belongings left unattended. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow that limit.

Content on this website is for information about Slowlife. Images and descriptions are representative; seasonal conditions and small details may vary. We may update the site without notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Himachal Pradesh, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
